Audie Tarpley - Over 35 Years in Construction

A veteran of the construction industry, Audie Tarpley is the president of DCG Construction in Indianapolis. He oversees business development, estimating, and design and further manages all projects, including retail, commercial, industrial, and multi-family properties. Since 2015, Audie Tarpley has successfully designed and constructed several properties including Lids Corporate Headquarters (150,000 square-foot office building), River Crossing Office Building (120,000 square-foot office building), and The Quarry Luxury Apartments (multifamily property with 208 units).

Before DCG, Audie Tarpley was development manager with Jones Lang LaSalle in Miami. He worked with the company from 2010 to 2011, redeveloping The Palms shopping center with a budget of $35 million. He completed the project successfully, on schedule and under budget.

From 2005 to 2009, Audie Tarpley was the director of Construction for Bear Creek Capital. He managed a team of construction professionals and outside consultants in acquiring, designing, and constructing developments. He also oversaw entitlements. Audie Tarpley reduced the schedule for development from 24 months to 16 months and brought down the cost of structures by 12 percent through unique designs and value engineering. Early in his career, he was a construction manager at Muir Doran Construction, the vice president of construction at Duke Realty Investments, and construction manager at Centex Construction Group.

Since 2003, Audie Tarpley has served as chairman of the Industrial Development Council of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties. He has also served on the financial advisory council of Wayzata Public Schools for 18 years.
